On the 24th and 25th of July 2021, TEDxMVJCE hosted its event ‘CTRL Z’, which focused on the idea of unlearning outdated thoughts and re-learning newer ideas.

The event organiser, Akhil Bobby, and his team of young leaders put on a spectacular show consisting of talented individuals considered role models in their respective fields.

Starting with Arati Sunawala, founder of a renowned dance company and recipient of many prestigious awards like “Best Director”,” Best Producer,” and “Best Play Awards” at the Thespo Theatre Festival in Mumbai.

She was followed by Prof. Rajini Paranjpe, who is a veteran professor who has devoted a major portion of her life to educating less privileged children.

Things took an innovative turn when Arun Prabhu N. G., creator of the revolutionary ‘SOLO 01’ design (the tiniest portable house), amazed the audience with his epiphanies.

He was followed by Luigi Celmi, CEO of Lufthansa Technik Services in India. Being an aviation enthusiast and an aerospace engineer, he shared his experience working in the aviation industry to encourage more people to follow this venture.

To make things even more entertaining Aishwarya Pissay, a professional motorcycle racer, bedazzled the audience with her inspiring life story.

Following the spirit of feminism, Kathy Walkling, co-founder of the women-led enterprise ‘Eco Femme’, which aims at mending taboos and creating environmental change, talked about the importance of having an open mind to grow as an individual.

Krishna Nacha, an eminent personality in the field of business, delivered an interesting talk on the forefront of creating and delivering transformative run-and-change solutions to clients globally.

Dr. BN Suresh, a Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardee, engrossed the audience in awe with his talk on the ever-tantalising innovations in the field of astronomy.

Plenty of networking opportunities were provided, and the event was a resounding success. Ctrl Z was an event where the audience was enveloped with curiosity and awe.
